Past, Present, Future Update

Hello from a new year... 2010. Feels exactly the same as 2009, but I suppose that's how it always feels when one year switches to another. But before I go on discussing the present and the future I'll review the happenings of the month of December.
The first part of the month was quite uneventful and filled with the anticipation of flying home for Christmas. On the 23rd, Josh and I drove to Phoenix and flew into Detroit. Even though our trip was a lot shorter than I would've like it to be, the time home was amazing. It was great being able to see and spend time with our families. Yes modern Facebook, cellphone, IM technology makes staying in touch easier, but it's not even close to seeing people face to face. Christmas Eve consisted of last minute present shopping, a gathering with Josh's side of the family, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Grandparents. Quite a big bunch, but luckily having a large family myself I was more than prepared. After that, we went to dinner at my house which was followed by the 9 o'clock service at church. Christmas was basically consisted of bouncing back and forth from his house to mine. It was definitely a crazy day, but, as corny as it sounds, full of love, laughs, and good times.
Yes this is all my family...
The next day I went to a Christmas celebration at my Aunt and Uncles house in Muskegon. We flew back to Arizona on the 27th. It was nice to escape the snow and come back to warmish weather, the kind that doesn't require a parka and other winter gear everytime you walk outside. I am perfectly content with not seeing snow again until the end of the year. Alfonso graced us with his presence for about a week while he was on leave. It was nice having company during the day. Don't get me wrong, Benji is great to have around, but is not the best conversationalist. New Years Eve was pretty fun. We made a fire in the backyard in our mini bbq and had a couple people over. It wasn't anything crazy, but we had a good time. After the holidays things got back to "normal." I'm not usually one to make resolutions on New Years, but decided to try one out this year. I've decided to attempt to read 75 books this year. Crazy...probably, but I've got a lot of free time on my hands so I figured why not. Especially since the job hunt has been less than satisfactory, but I digress. So far there's 2 down and 73 to go.

Moving on from past events, presently I'm laying on the couch while typing this and half-paying attention to the Brady Bunch reruns on TV Land. I feel semi-fulfilled for the day by repairing one of Benji's favorite toys, his red squeeky snoopy ball. It had slightly ripped and he decided it would be fun to try get the stuffing out. Nothing extremely special, but a small accomplishment.

Futurewise... I really really really really really really really really really hope that I get to see Julia this week. She's going to San Diego for Evan, her boyfriends, graduation from bootcamp. San Diego is only about 3 hours away from Yuma. So, we will see what happens. I will be very disappointed if she doesn't. Hopefully the car will get fixed this weekend. I'm praying that everything will go as planned. Also, someone Josh works with is looking at buying the quad, which would be amaaaaaaazing. One less bill to pay. Beyond that... there's really not much else planned. I'm going to put more job applications in for places that are around here. We could definitely use the extra money and I could use something to do, maybe meet people who aren't psycho retarted. Maria mentioned wanted to come out and visit for her Spring break, so that should be awesome. I'm seriously excited about going home in June for Julia's graduation stuff. I can't believe she's a senior. It feels like only yesterday I was in her place...oh how time flies.
I miss all my family and friends, those that live in Michigan as well as other places **Florida**.

Alright well I am going to go sleep. Along with reading, I am going to update this A LOT more often than I have, a couple times a week at least. I can't promise that they will be overly enthralling, but I will do my best.
I hope all is well wherever you are reading this from.
"Talk" to you soon
