Oh herrrrrrrrrooooooo

Well hello there... Long time to post.I know, I know bad amber tsk tsk tsk. But to my own defense there was a portion of time where blogger was being stupid and wouldn't let me log in. So cut me a little slack prease.
So what's new in my life since my last post? Not a whole lot.
I celebrated my 21st in April. Wooohoo! I wasn't expecting it to be very eventful, but there was some sneakyness going on behind my back. Little did I know my parents were traveling out for a birthday surprise and I was completely clueless. I knew I had some kind of birthday thing going on but I didn't know anyone was coming down for a visit. The night they arrived I went to "How to Train Your Dragon" with my friend Niki, her son, her husband, and another person, which was pretty awesome with the 3D-ness. Then I went back to her house and was instructed that I could not leave until Josh gave the ok. At that point I assumed he bought something for the house and was setting it up or something along those lines. I didn't end up getting to leave until 2 or 3 in the morning at which point I was very antsy. I arrived home to find nothing new, except that everything was clean, and that Josh was not there. This got me even more confused. Josh walks through the door a couple minutes later. I go out to the living room and hear a tap tap tap on my sliding door. To my utter amazement, there stood my mammy and pappy. I was completely shocked that there they were, just standing in my backyard, when moments before I figured them to be tucked in bed in dear ol' Michigan. It was so exciting to have them here. We went to San Diego to see the ocean which was pretty cool, though there was an earthquake that day which was freeeeaaaaaaky, and did some site seeing around yuma, a fair and the prison. They made my birthday awesome and I'm so glad they came down.
So that was the most eventful thing that has happened since February. I've been trying to get things for me to go back to school rolling. I sent in an application to Arizona Western and I'm waiting to hear back from that. Hopefully I can get it all set up soon. I'm going to work on getting a job when I come back from Michigan in June. Which I suppose leads me to my next topic...
I'm going home on the 30th for a couple weeks to see my stinker baby DooDoo gradumatate from high school. Good lordy that makes me feel old. I'll be going to her ceremony and open house. Not to sure when I'm coming back to Arizona, since we only bought a one-way there due to financial reasons. I'm definitely excited to be going home for a little while and being able to see my family and friends. Hopefully it warms up there, because if not I'm going to be toting a parka everywhere I go. I have grown very fond of the warmness here. We'll see I suppose. I'm gunna miss Joshua and my baby benji, but I can't wait to go for a little while.
Josh and my first anniversary is this Sunday. As boring this year has been at times, it has gone by somewhat fast. I'm excited to celebrating it with him and look forward to the many to come. :)
Along with celebrating my anniversary this weekend, I'm also highly considering getting a tattoo. I found this moon and stars thing online that I love. I tried posting a pic of it, but it's not letting me. Oh well. So yeah. I just have to make a couple decisions about colors and placement, but it's 90% likely to happen. I'll update if it does.
I wish I had more exciting things to talk about, but unfortunately that is not the case :(. I'll try and update this more in the future so I can remember more of the day to day funny happenings that occur.
Until then my lovelies...

I hAtE iT wHeN pEoPlE tYpE lIkE tHiS bUt I'm ToO bOrEd To CaRe

Many holas to my few readers out there in internetland.

Life at present is the same as always. Nothing overly exciting goes on day to day, but that's life. Benji got a haircut this weekend. He is looking quite dapper if I do say so myself. Writing this just inspired a mini photo shoot because well I'm just that bored. And here are some of the fantabulous shots.

Ok, ok enough of that. I'm sure I'll end up posting more on facebook because I do love my Benji boo boo boo boo boo. Oh lord. That is enough of that.

I was quite "manly" this weekend, minus the whole weiner part. I went with Josh, Alfonso, and a couple other guys out to a desert part about 20 miles out and shot guns. It was my first time shooting a gun. I shot a shotgun, some other huge ass thing that I don't remember then name of, and a handgun. Definitely scary at first, but it was a lot more fun than I expected. Nothing like shooting the crap outta stuff to pass the time. After shooting, we took Josh's quad out to a sandy-dune type place out by the highway. I didn't ride it, but I did ride in a pick-up truck which was fun. Josh is very proud of his wipe out while he was doing a jump. He's watched the video of it about a kagillion times. Stupid boys. I ended up getting a cold or some kind of allergy thing from the day, but I had fun and much better than sitting at home so it was worth it.

I'm on book #5 of my 75 book challenge. This puts me a little behind, but I'm sure I'll get caught up soon. I need to find some good new books to read.

Josh decided to request to go to night crew so I'm boreddddd and aloooone. There is a prospective trip to Six Flags this weekend so that should be fun. I'll update if such events end up taking place.

Beyond that...can't say there's much else to inform the world about. So I'm gunna hit the ol' dusty trail, figuratively I mean. No way I'm going to go wander about the desert this late at night. Getting eaten/bit/stung by desert critters is not on my to do list.

So until next my lovelies
Hope everything is going swell wherever you may be.
Talk to you soon.

Past, Present, Future Update

Hello from a new year... 2010. Feels exactly the same as 2009, but I suppose that's how it always feels when one year switches to another. But before I go on discussing the present and the future I'll review the happenings of the month of December.
The first part of the month was quite uneventful and filled with the anticipation of flying home for Christmas. On the 23rd, Josh and I drove to Phoenix and flew into Detroit. Even though our trip was a lot shorter than I would've like it to be, the time home was amazing. It was great being able to see and spend time with our families. Yes modern Facebook, cellphone, IM technology makes staying in touch easier, but it's not even close to seeing people face to face. Christmas Eve consisted of last minute present shopping, a gathering with Josh's side of the family, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Grandparents. Quite a big bunch, but luckily having a large family myself I was more than prepared. After that, we went to dinner at my house which was followed by the 9 o'clock service at church. Christmas was basically consisted of bouncing back and forth from his house to mine. It was definitely a crazy day, but, as corny as it sounds, full of love, laughs, and good times.
Yes this is all my family...
The next day I went to a Christmas celebration at my Aunt and Uncles house in Muskegon. We flew back to Arizona on the 27th. It was nice to escape the snow and come back to warmish weather, the kind that doesn't require a parka and other winter gear everytime you walk outside. I am perfectly content with not seeing snow again until the end of the year. Alfonso graced us with his presence for about a week while he was on leave. It was nice having company during the day. Don't get me wrong, Benji is great to have around, but is not the best conversationalist. New Years Eve was pretty fun. We made a fire in the backyard in our mini bbq and had a couple people over. It wasn't anything crazy, but we had a good time. After the holidays things got back to "normal." I'm not usually one to make resolutions on New Years, but decided to try one out this year. I've decided to attempt to read 75 books this year. Crazy...probably, but I've got a lot of free time on my hands so I figured why not. Especially since the job hunt has been less than satisfactory, but I digress. So far there's 2 down and 73 to go.

Moving on from past events, presently I'm laying on the couch while typing this and half-paying attention to the Brady Bunch reruns on TV Land. I feel semi-fulfilled for the day by repairing one of Benji's favorite toys, his red squeeky snoopy ball. It had slightly ripped and he decided it would be fun to try get the stuffing out. Nothing extremely special, but a small accomplishment.

Futurewise... I really really really really really really really really really hope that I get to see Julia this week. She's going to San Diego for Evan, her boyfriends, graduation from bootcamp. San Diego is only about 3 hours away from Yuma. So, we will see what happens. I will be very disappointed if she doesn't. Hopefully the car will get fixed this weekend. I'm praying that everything will go as planned. Also, someone Josh works with is looking at buying the quad, which would be amaaaaaaazing. One less bill to pay. Beyond that... there's really not much else planned. I'm going to put more job applications in for places that are around here. We could definitely use the extra money and I could use something to do, maybe meet people who aren't psycho retarted. Maria mentioned wanted to come out and visit for her Spring break, so that should be awesome. I'm seriously excited about going home in June for Julia's graduation stuff. I can't believe she's a senior. It feels like only yesterday I was in her place...oh how time flies.
I miss all my family and friends, those that live in Michigan as well as other places **Florida**.

Alright well I am going to go sleep. Along with reading, I am going to update this A LOT more often than I have, a couple times a week at least. I can't promise that they will be overly enthralling, but I will do my best.
I hope all is well wherever you are reading this from.
"Talk" to you soon
