Getting Used to "Fall" AZ Style

Well hello lovely reader. Welcome back :)

Another week has gone by since my last novel-esque blog. I'm actually surprised at how quickly the days passed. There are probably several reasons as to why this is.

This week I've been hanging out/ getting to know another Marine wife. She lives in the same apartments as I do so we've been doing stuff just about every day. It's nice to have another girl to interact with, especially one that is in the same situation as me and understands how things are. Plus, she's from Wisconsin so she knows how things work "up north" like corn mazes, apple cider mills, pumpkin patches, etc. We have a lot in common and she's pretty cool so far. So yeah, having someone to do stuff with has definitely passed the time.

Josh and I are still in the process of settling in. Everything is unpacked, minus a couple of my boxes. Now we are getting things organized and set up. I still have to put my clothes away. I am so glad that we have the washer and dryer now. It's definitely convenient. I'm really grateful for all the generous donating people did before we moved. Josh and I appreciate it. I'll take some pictures and post them after I get my camera charged.

Josh and I are doing well. Josh works long hours during the week, but we get to spend the weekend together. He's a brat but I love him. Benji is his normal sleepy and crazy self that loves to chew on everything.
We're still working on potty training him. Hopefully that won't take much longer.

I forgot to mention this is my previous update, but I now have the use of a car I can actually drive. A guy Josh knows deployed and needed a place to keep his car so he left it with us. It's a mustang and an automatic (yay!) so I can drive it. It will be nice to have so I can go places during the day. I still will have to learn how to drive Josh's car eventually, but now I can take my time in doing so.

It's getting "cooler" out. By cooler I mean like high 80's- 90's which is fine by me. I can definitely live without the 100+ temps. The only thing I don't like as much is it getting colder at night. However, it does allow the option of opening the windows at night which could be nice. I kind of miss the way fall is supposed to be with the trees changing color, having a reason to wear my rain boots, and all that stuff. I bought some apple cider from the store...it just wasn't the same. Ooohh well...

Alright well I am going to go enjoy the rest of the weekend. I'll try and get pictures posted up this week *fingers crossed*. I hope all is well wherever you may be.

Until next time, Stay classy San Diego. (sorry I couldn't resist)
